Course size is important because it may influence the one-on-one attention that teachers provide to students and the level of classroom discipline. Do you know what your district's targeted course sizes are? Use this information to assess how close your district is coming to meeting its goals or targets for numbers of students per course.
Average course sizes have been calculated for all courses offered to students in grades 9-12. Course size averages are provided only for courses finishing with an ABCs End-of-Course test. If no student completed one of the courses listed in this table, N/A (not available) will appear in place of an average. Due to limitations of the data collection system, average course sizes of less than 5 students are reported as N/A.
